A cliff railway – one of the few original working funicular railways still in existence today, takes you down to the beach where you’ll find a small pier and genteel seafront. DARTMOUTH, a beautiful town situated on the banks of the picturesque River Dart is rich in culture, history and maritime heritage, from ancient castles and forts to historic buildings and museums. Just wandering through the town you will see an eclectic mix of architecture, much of it dating back to the 16th century.


A relaxing RIVER DART CRUISE sails for nine miles between the delightful and unique towns of Totnes and Dartmouth.
