LAKESIDE & HAVERTHWAITE RAILWAY From Haverthwaite enjoy a unique, nostalgic journey on a  lovingly restored locomotive, through the beautiful Leven Valley to the Lakeside Pier at the tip of Lake Windermere. From here CRUISE ON LAKE WINDERMERE England’s largest lake, admiring the beautiful views along the way. We disembark at BOWNESS-ON-WINDERMERE, where you’ll have time to explore this bustling town.

 

In the heart of the National Park is the attractive market town of AMBLESIDE a firm favourite with walkers and climbers. Visit the pretty market town KESWICK renowned for The Moot Hall, used over the years as a market, courthouse, museum and prison. Enjoy panoramic views along the KIRKSTONE PASS. At an altitude of 1,489 feet, its the Lake District’s highest pass open to motor traffic!
