After overnight stops in both Belgium and Germany we arrive at St Anton for a 2 night stay.
ST ANTON AM ALBERG is a charming village which has still maintained its genuine ambiance and Tirolean hospitality. There is plenty to see and do, so on your free day relax and unwind in the crisp, clean, mountain air.
Afterwards we continue to the pretty lakeside town of Döbriach, our base for the next 5 nights.
Explore DOBRIACH one of seven villages around Lake Millstätt and is set at the foot of the mystic Mount Mirnock. It is also the gateway to the beautiful Nockberge National Park.
Enjoy a panoramic cruise on the stunning LAKE MILLSTATT known as the ‘Jewel of Carinthia’. Its steep shores give it a fjord-like feel and it is by far the deepest of all the lakes.
GMUND is a delightful town, known for its wonderfully preserved, medieval streets, squares and narrow, cobblestone alleyways. It’s also home to the unique Porsche Automuseum.
The stunning Malta Alpine Road, also known as the ‘valley of rushing water’ leads us to the KOLBREIN RESERVOIR, Austria’s tallest dam at over 200 metres for spectacular views.
A scenic drive through the unique rounded mountains of the NOCKBERGE NATIONAL PARK. Experience the gentle gradients and bends of this 35 kilometre drive with fantastic views at every turn with colourful flower meadows, green alpine pastures and countless mountain streams and lakes.
Discover the famous High Alpine Road that runs through the heart of the TAUREN NATIONAL PARK, here we drive along the spectacular GROSSGLOCKNER HIGH ALPINE TOLL ROAD, viewing Austria’s highest peak and the impressive Glacier Pasterze. The road has a total of 36 bends and ascends over 2,500 metres with breathtaking scenery you’ll never forget!
