The 4 star Alvaston Hall Hotel is a Grade II listed half-timbered Victorian country house set in gorgeous gardens. All rooms are en suite, modern and stylishly furnished with television, telephone, hairdryer, iron/board, safe and tea/coffee facilities. The hotel has Wi-Fi and there is a lift.

A Warner’s hotel leisure activities and entertainment are second to none! Here you’ll find a 9 hole golf course, croquet lawn, archery, rifle shooting, bowls and fencing. CHESTER is arguably the richest city in Britain for archaeological and architectural treasures; it has the most complete city walls, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, plus a 1000 year old cathedral with Europe’s finest example of medieval carvings – and of course the one and only 700 year old half-timbered Rows, where shopping is a double delight.

 

ANDERTON BOAT LIFT This award-winning attraction has earnt its nickname of Cathedral of the Canals and is one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Waterways’. From a glass topped boat enjoy a trip with lively commentary and learn of the history and mechanics of the oldest working boat lift in the world. This masterpiece of Victorian engineering lifts canal boats 50 feet from the River Weaver Navigation to the Trent & Mersey Canal. Also included is a cruise on the River Weaver.
